Brexit will likely have an impact on the regulatory and business environment of asset management companies and investment funds located in the UK, in particular in relation to cross-border business.
The objective of the workshop, primarily for UK firms considering relocating to Germany, is to inform them about BaFin’s (Bundesanstalt für Finanzdienstleistungsaufsicht – BaFin) administration and supervisory practice in relation to the asset management sector. The workshop will, for example, address the following topics: BaFin’s licensing procedure for asset management companies, delegation issues and marketing notifications from third-countries. The finalised agenda will be published on BaFin’s web site one week prior to the workshop at the latest.
