Former Los Angeles Laker and Michigan State University player Shannon Brown has asked a Manhattan federal judge for no prison time after pleading guilty to a role in a scheme to defraud the NBA’s health care fund, citing letters of support including from legendary Michigan State coach Tom Izzo.
