FCA updated webpage on using Connect to submit EMIR notifications and applications

By Jochen Vester (UK) & Hannah Meakin (UK) on February 7, 2020

On 6 February 2020, the FCA updated its webpage on using the FCA Connect system to submit notifications and applications under the European Markets Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR).

The FCA reminds firms that the legacy EMIR web portal will be decommissioned on 31 March 2020. All counterparties must register on the FCA Connect system to submit EMIR notifications and applications. The FCA provides an exception for applications for intragroup exemptions from bilateral margining. These must be submitted by email following the current process set out on the FCA’s EMIR notifications and exemptions page.

The webpage also provides instructions on how to register on Connect, what EMIR notifications and applications should be submitted via Connect and how to make a submission.
