On 24 October 2019, the Council of the EU published the texts it adopted at first reading for the:
- the Regulation on disclosures relating to sustainable investments and sustainability risks in the financial services sector (the Disclosure Regulation); and
- the Regulation amending the Benchmarks Regulation as regards EU Climate Transition Benchmarks, EU Paris-aligned Benchmarks and sustainability-related disclosures for benchmarks (the Low Carbon Benchmarks Regulation).
The Disclosure Regulation will enter into force on the twentieth day following its publication in the Official Journal (OJ) of the EU and will apply from 15 months following that date. The Low Carbon Benchmarks Regulation will enter into force on the day after publication in the OJ.
