No deal Brexit: BoE exempted entity under MAR Delegated Regulation

By Simon Lovegrove (UK) & Jochen Vester (UK) on March 25, 2019

On 22 March 2019, there was published in the Official Journal of the EU, Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/463 of 30 January 2019 amending the Securities Financing Transaction Regulation (SFTR) with regard to the list of exempted entities.

The Delegated Regulation amends the SFTR by adding to the list of exempted entities the Bank of England and other bodies performing similar functions and other public bodies charged with, or intervening in, the management of public debt in the UK. The Delegated Regulation applies once the SFTR no longer applies to the UK.
