On August 15, 2017, the British government unveiled a much anticipated “Future customs arrangements paper” that outlines the government’s views on post-Brexit relationship with the remaining 27 EU member countries (EU27). The debate on how the UK should handle its relationship with the EU27 is just beginning. Our colleagues in the UK have been keenly following Brexit developments and offer their thoughts on a few key issues and questions arising out of the UK government’s thinking as proposed in this first publication of strategy papers.
