Regulation on interchange fees for card-based payment transactions

There has been published in the Official Journal of the EU (the OJ) the Regulation on interchange fees for card-based payment transactions.

The Regulation enters into force on the twentieth day following its publication in the OJ. It shall apply from 8 June 2015, with the exception of Articles 3, 4, 6 and 12 which shall apply from 9 December 2015, and of Articles 7, 8, 9 and 10, which shall apply from 9 June 2016.

The Regulation is directly applicable in all Member States.
