The Payment Systems Regulator (PSR) has published Consultation Paper 15/1: PSR Competition Concurrency Guidance (PSR CP15/1).
In PSR CP15/1, the PSR seeks views on two separate areas, namely:
- draft guidance on its powers and procedures under the Competition Act 1998 that it will obtain on 1 April 2015; and
- draft guidance on its powers and procedures to conduct market reviews and market studies and to make market investigation references.
The deadline for comments to PSR CP15/1 is 20 March 2015. As the draft guidance documents are based extensively on the equivalent draft documents already published for consultation by the FCA in relation to its concurrent competition powers, joint submissions can be made to both the PSR and FCA. The deadline for comments is 13 March 2015.
