Here is a preview of the October issue of the Miss. Jury Verdict Reporter:

  • $371,737 jury verdict- Natchez federal court reverse racial discrimination and outrage case (9/18/15);
  • $260,000 jury verdict- Gulfport federal court outrage trial covered here (9/16/15);
  • $125,000 jury verdict- Jackson County car wreck UM case (9/2/15);
  • $39,000 jury verdict/ $7,800 after comparative fault- Hinds County car wreck case (9/16/15);
  • $33,000ish jury verdict- two plaintiffs in Jackson County car wreck case (9/16/15);
  • defense verdict- Aberdeen federal court reverse racial discrimination case (9/24/15); and
  • directed verdict- DeSoto County trampoline injury case- sued parents for not supervising (9/3/15).

My Take:

There have been several “no, we aren’t getting a trampoline” conversations at my house. Even if they weren’t dangerous, they still look like crap out in the yard.
