Mystery blogger quits U.S. Attorney’s Office

By Kevin O'Keefe on December 30, 2005

The Newark Ledger reported Friday that David Lat, the federal prosecutor who admitted writing the anonymous blog ‘Underneath Their Robes,’ is leaving his position as a U.S. Assistant Attorney in Newark.

In addition to courthouse gossip that once included a list of the ‘superhotties’ of the bench, the blog included items on the “love lives of judges and syrupy profiles of Supreme Court justices and their clerks.”

Though an office spokesman says “there was no effort to force him out of the office at all,” you got to believe things got a little uncomfortable after Lat announced he was the blog publsher.

For those looking for ‘Underneath Their Robes,’ it was taken down by Lat a couple months ago.
