By Kevin O'Keefe on April 8, 2006

May still be a small number but in the four months since thelongtail starting tracking, the number of Fortune 500 companies with public blogs has increased 50%, from 18 to 27.

Thelongtail cites Amazon’s Werner Vogel’s response to Naked Conversation’s co-authors’ Robert Scoble’s and Shel Israel’s blog pitch to Amazon of a couple weeks ago as possible reason why we don’t have more corps blogging. Our Seattle Times described it as ‘The blog hit the fan at Amazon.’
