Hispanic Heritage lunch inviteMouledoux Bland Legrand & Brackett’s Culture & Inclusion Committee hosted the firm’s first National Hispanic Heritage Month Luncheon on Wednesday, September 24th in the team lounge.

The celebration was guided by attorney Daniel Estrada and legal secretary Cristy Samuels Walter, who are Honduran Americans, and attorney Ney Gehman and legal secretary Nubia Aguilar-Gallo, who are Nicaraguan Americans. Daniel and Ney gave a presentation on the impacts that the Spanish have had on the City of New Orleans and the rise in population since Hurricane Katrina.

The luncheon was catered by Latin American restaurant, Restaurante y Pupuseria Las Cabañas. We served chicken and beef pastelitos, birria tacos, enchiladas, tacos, meat pies, and pupusas. The food was delicious!

Learning more about Hispanic cultures around the world and indulging in some popular dishes made the day meaningful. Our team is already looking forward to our celebration next year!
