Alex Domingue Frank Maraist award finalistMouledoux, Bland, Legrand & Brackett is pleased to announce that associate Alex Domingue was one of the eight finalists for the 2025 Frank L. Maraist Award. Presented by the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel and the LADC Young Lawyers Committee, the award recognizes young lawyers who have outstanding achievements in their practice and have made significant contributions to the legal profession, the defense bar, and the community.

Alex and his fellow finalists were honored at a dinner held at Calcasieu in New Orleans, on Thursday, August 7th. MBLB attorneys Alan Brackett, Katie Peppo, Andrew Miner, Katie Briuglio, Jakob Jackson, and Connor O’Brien, joined Alex and his girlfriend Annie Meyer for the celebration.

This is the second honor that Alex has received this year. In March, Alex along with MBLB attorney Hieu “Scott” Le, were recipients of a Louisiana State Bar Association Young Lawyers Division’s 2024 Top Young Lawyer Award.

About Alex Domingue

Alex Domingue’s areas of practice include the defense of employers and insurance carriers for claims arising under the Jones Act, Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act, Defense Base Act, and War Hazards Compensation Act.

As supported by the peer recognition he has received, including Louisiana Super Lawyers Rising Stars, Alex has developed a reputation as a skilled attorney in workers compensation law. He has also shown a fierce dedication to serving the community by providing pro bono civil legal aid and working with organizations that provide pro bono civil legal aid to citizens in New Orleans and throughout Louisiana.

Alex is highly involved in his profession. He is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association (LSBA) and the New Orleans Bar Association (NOBA), and is actively involved in several committees for both. He is also a member Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel as well as member of the organization’s Young Lawyers Committee. He is fellow of the Louisiana Bar Foundation. He regularly presents CLEs for the LSBA and others on topics such as “Don’t Take Risks With 5.6” and “Navigating claims under Section 8(f) of the LHWCA as they relate to hearing loss.”
