Timeline of Key Developments Related to Recent Executive Actions

By Scott A. Freling, Jay Carey, Kayleigh Scalzo, Jennifer Plitsch, Lindsay Burke, Michael Wagner, Andrew Guy, Victoria Skiera & Ethan Syster on February 19, 2025

As previously discussed on this blog, President Trump issued several executive orders (“EOs”) and memoranda, many of which may have implications for federal contractors and grant recipients.  During the first 30 days of the second Trump Administration, Covington’s Government Contracts Practice Group has tracked developments related to these EOs, as well as subsequent executive actions implicating federal contracts and grants, and prepared a timeline highlighting some of the key developments between January 20, 2025 and February 26, 2025.  The timeline is available here.

We are continuing to monitor further developments.  To the extent you have questions about how any such developments might apply to your specific circumstances, please reach out to a member of Covington’s Government Contracts Practice Group.
