King & Wood Mallesons has advised Axis Participaciones Empresariales on the investment round led by Innvierte Economía Sostenible in DeepUll.
In particulr, DeepUll, a medical diagnostics company, has raised €13 million in a Series B financing round. The round was led by new investors Innvierte, part of Spain’s Ministry of Science and Innovation -CDTI, and an undisclosed strategic investor, with participation from existing investors Kurma Partners, Alta Life Sciences, UI Investissement (advised by Mérieux Equity Partners) and Axis Participaciones Empresariales.
DeepUll was founded in 2020 by Jordi Carrera and Rafel Bru, who had previously founded STAT-Dx, which they sold in 2018 to Qiagen. DeepUll will use these funds to advance the development of its first-in-class sepsis detection platform to bring it to market.
