DLA Piper has advised Majorel Group Luxembourg, a leading international provider of next-generation customer experience solutions, on the sale of 12 Booking.com in-house customer service centres, call centres and telemarketing.
The centres are located in Asia-Pacific, the Americas and Europe, including Spain where the transaction was structured through the sale of two Spanish companies. Booking.com will retain management of its in-house support centres in Amsterdam and Manchester. This transaction represents an expansion of the strategic partnership between the two companies.
The DLA Piper team advising from Spain was led by Joaquín Echánove (pictureed left), partner in the Corporate department, with the support of Francisco Bachiller (pictured in the middle), legal director, and Carlos Fuerte (pictured right) associate in the same department. In the UK, partners Sarah Bell and Jonathan Watkins, partners, and Helen Hall, legal director, were also involved.
