Mark Elliott, the prominent shareholder class action attorney and founder of litigation funder Australian Funding Partners Limited (AFPL), died in a car accident last month. Now, the Supreme Court of Victoria has ordered Elliott’s lawyers to search for his missing BlackBerry, which could contain information relevant to a claim against AFPL, which alleges the funder overcharged clients during its participation in the Banksia claim.
