Pro Bono Texas celebrates pro bono with iPad giveaway

By Jillian Beck on October 5, 2016

Texas attorneys, paralegals, and law students can enter for a chance to win an iPad mini 2 this month in a contest for Celebrate Pro Bono Week.

The State Bar of Texas Legal Access Division’s Pro Bono Texas is giving away the tablet as a part of Celebrate Pro Bono Week, an annual event that highlights the importance of pro bono efforts across the U.S. This year, the celebration will be held October 23-29.

State Bar of Texas members, lawyers who live and work in Texas, paralegals who live and work in Texas, and students at Texas law schools can enter their names and emails into the drawing online once a day or throw their hat in the ring through seven other pro bono-related options on the contest page:

  1. Sign up to become a pro bono mentor.
  2. Follow @ProBonoTX on Twitter.
  3. Like Pro Bono TX on Facebook.
  4. Share your pro bono success story.
  5. Post a photo showing what Pro Bono Texas means to you.
  6. Make a Pro Bono pledge.
  7. Report your pro bono hours.

The contest began at the start of this month and will close on October 31. The winner of the iPad, which was donated by Thomson Reuters Westlaw, will be announced November 4. For more information, go to facebook.com/ProBonoTX.
