An updated version of a documentary on the debate over the role of race in college admissions is set to air at 10 p.m. tonight on KLRU-TV in Austin.

Admissions on Trial: Seven Decades of Race and Higher Education, which won a State Bar of Texas Gavel Award in 2014, examines the history of race in higher education admissions.

Director Lynn Boswell, a broadcast journalist who also holds a law degree, has updated her documentary since it originally aired in 2013 with developments from the closely-watched Fisher v. University of Texas at Austin, which was reheard by the U.S. Supreme Court in its October 2015 term.

The high court is expected to soon render a decision on the case.
