Federated Co-operatives Ltd. is recalling some Co-op and Market Town Co-op brands of bread because of possible Listeria contamination.
Co-op California Garlic Bread and Garlic/Cheese bread, along with Market Town Co-op Pizza Bread have been pulled.
The products were sold in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia in 250 and 450 gram packages with a best before date of Mar. 23, 2014.
The bread should be thrown out or returned to the store where it was purchased.
There are no reports of any illnesses linked to the product, but the Listeria bacteria can be fatal in severe cases.
