House reschedules hearing on proposals to reform CFPB

The Subcommittee on Financial Institutions and Consumer Credit of the House Financial Services Committee has rescheduled the hearing entitled “Examining Legislative Proposals to Reform the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.”  Previously scheduled for last week, the hearing is now scheduled for tomorrow, October 29, 2013, at 3 p.m. EST. 

The following witnesses are scheduled to appear:

  • Mr. Jess Sharp, Executive Director, U.S. Chamber Center for Capital Markets Competitiveness
  • Mr. Robert S. Tissue, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Summit Financial Group, on behalf of the West Virginia Bankers Association
  • Ms. Lynette Smith, President and Chief Executive Officer, Washington Gas Light Federal Credit Union on behalf of the National Association of Federal Credit Unions
  • Mr. Damon A. Silvers, Policy Director and Special Counsel, American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations
