Epi-curve in national Salmonella sprouts outbreak

To date, 89 people have suffered confirmed Salmonella illnesses in the multi-state Salmonella outbreak linked to alfalfa sprouts.  The biggest cluster of Salmonella illnesses in the outbreak is in Illinois, which has 50 confirmed cases.  The onset dates for symptoms amongst the confirmed cases range from November 1 to mid-December.  Many of the illnesses are linked to Salmonella contaminated alfalfa sprouts served on Jimmy John’s sandwiches.
