House inserts S. 510 (with Tester) into Spending Bill, and the Vote will be?

By Bill Marler on December 8, 2010

With Congressmembers Rosa DeLauro, Bart Stupak and John Dingell leading the charge, the Senate’s version of food safety, S. 510, has been absorbed into the House Omnibus Spending Bill (payments to keep lights on in Washington). And, after what appears to be an upcoming party-line vote, it (the Omnibus Spending Bill with S. 510 inserted) is heading to the Senate for a vote now that it has passed the House – 212-206 as now H.B. 3082.  When the Senate will vote is still to be determined, likely next Wednesday or Thursday.

Watching CSPAN is so fun.  I’ll be in Washington D.C. next week to see how it ends.
