Sure sign blogs are mainstream now

By Kevin O'Keefe on January 1, 2007

Bet you my house Brent Mussberger didn’t know what a blog was a few years ago. But he and the other television announcers for the Rose Bowl must have used the terms ‘blogs’ and ‘bloggers’ a hundred times in the second half of the just completed game. They were discussing the bloggers opinions of the game’s implications.

And my condolences to Michigan grad, Tim Stanley, down at Justia. The Wolverines had it handed to them by USC. Felt just like the ’60’s and 70’s when we Midwesterners would get all fired up for the Rose Bowl, only to see our teams look like they never saw a passing attack. We’ll need to get my Badgers back to defend the Big Ten’s honor – we’re 3 and 0 in the Rose Bowl since ’94.
