Silicon Valley bloggers : You’ve got Valleywag

By Kevin O'Keefe on February 2, 2006

Gawker Media, the most successful blog-oriented media company with 13 different blogs, has a launched a new one. Valleywag.

Valleywag is a tech gossip rag. You people in Silicon Valley are far too busy changing the world to care about sex, greed and hypocrisy. But if you ever need a break, come visit us at Valleywag.

As Darren Rowse at Pro Blogger, my source for this post, says, Gawker launches only the big ones.

This blog has been filling with stories since 6 January and looking at the content already there I’ve already subscribed to it. Also looking at their stats it seems others are interested in it also – it’s had close to 13,000 visitors today already with still 6 – 7 hours to go until the day ends.

You guys down in the valley should subscribe to Valleywag’s feeds. When appropriate for your audience, start blogging somethings they are blogging about. They’ll be watching who is writing about them. They may just pick up something you say.

They’re covering ‘sex, greed and hypocrisy.’ Sounds like a good fit for the legal industry. 😉
