Blogger admitted to White House press corp

By Kevin O'Keefe on March 6, 2005

Garret Graff just received word from the White House Press Office this evening that his blog, Fishbowl D.C., will be cleared to attend Monday’s press briefing.

FishbowlDC is a gossip blog that focuses on D.C. media. It’s publisher Garrett Graff is vice president of communications at EchoDitto, Inc., a Washington, D.C.-based technology consulting firm.

Unclear what impact this will have on professional marketing blogs per se, but I’ll bet you dollars to doughnuts this will generate a lot of discussion about blogs on news shows in the coming week. Heck, I just saw that the story is set for inclusion in tomorrow’s (Monday) New Times (sub req’ed). And just having everyone talking about blogs frankly ain’t bad for LexBlog’s law blog business.
