On 11 November 2025, a Swedish Court of Appeal upheld in its entirety the Stockholm District Court’s judgment in the case of L.I., delivered in February 2025. L.I., a Swedish national, had been convicted of crimes against humanity, war crimes and genocide committed against the Yazidi ethno-religious minority in Raqqa, Syria between 2014 and 2015.
