On the 28th of January, the District Court of the Hague rendered its judgment in the case of Greenpeace v. the Netherlands. The case addressed the Dutch State’s mitigation and adaptation obligations towards the Caribbean territory of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, specifically Bonaire – a small island situated off the coast of Venezuela
