The OIG posted an Advisory Opinion on Friday, November 9, regarding a hospital-based hospice program’s proposal to offer free, non-skilled “community services” to individuals diagnosed as terminally ill, with a prognosis of one year or less to live, but who don’t qualify for, or have not elected to receive, hospice services or home health services.
