New Jersey High School Football Player Suffers Traumatic Head Injury

In the past few weeks, I’ve frequently addressed the dangers of brain injuries in youth sports. Unfortunately, even with proper protection, injuries happen. CBS-TV New York reported yesterday that Kurt Socha, a student from the Blair Academy in Blairstown, New Jersey, is hospitalized and remains in critical condition with a brain injury after taking a “legal hit” in the face and chin during this past Saturday’s football game.
