Greenberg Traurig Shareholder Tyler Thompson will present the CLE webinar “Brick and Mortar Privacy: Dealing with Privacy Compliance Challenges in ‘Real World’ Locations” Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2024. Dealing with new privacy compliance challenges related to in-person collection of personal information has never been more difficult. Restaurants, retailers, public spaces, and more are struggling to provide proper privacy notices and transparency to visitors while collecting personal information from those visitors becomes ever more valuable. New technologies for in person collection like facial recognition, biometrics, cashless checkout, and RFID further increase the challenge. This CLE will discuss the compliance risks surrounding collection and processing of personal information from real world locations and provide practical guidance and real world examples of how to deal with the same.
