Supreme Court Denies Relief In Challenge To NY Vaccine Mandate That Lacks Religious Exemption

In another “shadow docket” case, the U.S. Supreme Court today in a brief Order (full text) denied injunctive relief in We The Patriots USA v. Hochul. Justices Thomas, Alito and Gorsuch dissented. The case was a challenge to the elimination of religious exemptions from New York’s requirement that health care workers be vaccinated against COVID. The 2nd Circuit had also denied an injunction.
