In New York, Robert Sweeney– the Chair of the Assembly Environmental Conservation Committee —announced a hearing to examine the need for a new Environmental Bond Act. The hearing, to be held in Buffalo on October 22, 2013, would also review the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation’s effectiveness in meeting its statutory obligations under current budgetary constraints.
