Acted Early. Execupundit highlights the disconnect in our human brains when dealing with crisis. As a management consultant, I defer to his analysis. He has seen a lot more of it than I have. In fact, though, we see it in politicians and political parties all the time. Both parties castigate the other for failing to prevent crises, when it is a part of the human condition to have fate deal us blows on a regular basis. Then, after the crisis hits, the political class sets about blaming each other for failing to respond “fast enough”, or with enough strength, or in a way that the opposing party wishes. At its base, I think it is about humans’ need to be in control of things that are out of our control. When will we figure out that we are never going to be able to control our environment, other people, or events? Never. Get over it. Stop assessing blame. Get on with dealing with what you can control. Your own reactions and actions. This is not difficult. Jeez.
