Why 70% Of All Digital Transitions Fail. I freely admit that, when it comes to getting work done, or setting up new systems, or just generally getting through the day, I don’t play well with others. Either I am so far ahead that they are a distraction and an annoyance, or they are so far ahead that I can’t catch up or understand them. Add in all the vagaries of human collaboration, such as disease, desire, negligence, and other human frailty, and I have always preferred to stand or fall on my own. So, when you tell me that digital transitions fail most of the time, I am not surprised. I used to try to help law firms upgrade their computer systems and software, and I could write a book on the obstacles that couldn’t be overcome. I once had a law firm that insisted that it not be required to upgrade its ancient computers, and wanted software installed that wouldn’t work on the current system.
