With America’s 250th Birthday a few days away, are you looking for a way to celebrate?

We wanted to take a minute and share a number of events that are coming up in the next few days in Cincinnati and our neighboring communities.

There are a number of ways and places to celebrate this year!

If you enjoy hearing the Declaration of Independence, there are a number of public readings coming up, namely:

July 2—1:00 p.m.              Hamilton County Courthouse

Readings by the Hamilton County America 250-Ohio Committee

July 4—9:30 a.m.              Seasongood Pavilion in Eden Park

Organized by the July Fourth Project

July 11—11:00 a.m.         Cincinnati Museum Center Rotunda

Readings by actors from Cincinnati Shakespeare Company’s cast of this summer in the park’s Much Ado About Nothing

If you would like to see a copy of the Declaration of Independence, the Cincinnati Museum Center will be putting its copy, the Holt Broadside, on display starting on July 9th until August 23rd.  It is one of the 5 remaining copies of the 500 that John Holt printed in New York on July 9, 1776.

You can learn more about the Cincinnati Museum Center’s Declarative Acts and Revolutionary Actors exhibit here.

If fireworks or parades are more your thing, there are a number of choices for you as well.

Cincinnati Parks have three fireworks celebrations happening:

July 3—5 p.m. -10 p.m.  Inwood Park All American Block Party + Fireworks

                July 4—6 p.m.-10 p.m.   Rockin’ the Roebling

                July 4—11 am.-10 p.m.  Ault Park Fireworks

You can learn more about each of these events here.

There are also celebrations all around Greater Cincinnati, starting in Oxford on July 2nd , and All American Birthday Bash at Sawyer Point on July 3rd

There are fireworks celebrations galore on the 4th; don’t forget to check out where you want to celebrate.

We found comprehensive lists of events on WLWT and Fox 19.  Take a look for an event near you.

And, if you want to keep the party going past the 4th of July weekend, don’t forget the Great Parks of Hamilton County.

They are hosting America 250-Ohio The Great Picnic on Saturday, July 18, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Miami Whitewater Forest.

And, most importantly, Happy Birthday, America!
