In today’s world of algorithms and AI, emails are an increasingly essential part of publishing—vital for maintaining and nurturing a direct relationship with your audience.
A work isn’t truly “published” until it’s been distributed to the publication’s dedicated subscribers.
Lawyers and law firms have long relied on these lists, going back the entire 20-year lifespan of LexBlog as a company. Heck, there have been countless blogs that started as email digests. And now, as a means of cutting through the noise, they’re more important than effort.
As such, we’ve looked at ways we can improve and further modernize our platform’s email delivery setup and arrived at two quick and simple product updates.
The multi-blog email subscribe form
At LexBlog, we know there’s value in having independent and focused publications. It’s good to state with authority that “this is what this publication is about—and it is a publication!—so you know you can always come here for insight on the subject.”
We think the AI systems agree, too.
Search has always loved tightly-bound and focused entities, trusting that a site with a ton of information on a subject is a good place to send readers who type in terms related to it.
AI follows much the same pattern, trusting real and authentic expert commentary and, when possible, driving people towards it.
I thought we were talking about email?
Right, right.
While it’s valuable to have these focused independent publications, firms do want readers to know that they can subscribe to more than one of theirs—if they want.
You never know when someone’s employment law work leads to data privacy work and then, hey, they need some help with government advocacy, too.
Enter the multi-blog email subscribe form. It’s simple: subscribe to multiple firm blogs from any firm blog.
Have a look:

Independent publications on a unified publishing network. The best of both worlds.
We’ve already reached out to firms on our platform with the biggest publishing networks but if you haven’t heard from us yet and would like this on your publications, reach out and we’ll get you all set.
Full-text email notifications
This one’s just as simple but, perhaps, not as well understood. We’ll explain.
First off, the move: we’ve adjusted the email notifications our blog send to now contain the full text of the post they reference.
Before, subscribers would be notified that a new post had been published, receive a short excerpt, if anything more than the title, and have to click through to the post to actually read it.
This was industry standard for a long while. Not anymore, and we’re following suit.
Why? Having your dedicated audience read your post is more important than where they read it—and anything that makes it easier for them to read that insight is a good move in our book.
Not yours? Does it mess with some of your reporting? Is there some fine-tuning we can do, whether it’s to the emails or getting you subscriber and readership data for the emails? Is something not looking right with the emails? Or, perhaps you’re seeing something funky with a website integration using this email RSS feed?
Let us know and we’ll get everything set to your liking. We’re on the same team here.
Onward and upward.
