Partners Todd Canni and Kevin Barnett presented a virtual training titled “Risk Mitigation and Company Ethics Programs,” Dec. 9, 2025. The comprehensive presentation explored the evolving legal and regulatory landscape surrounding ethics and compliance programs in federal contracting, including in-depth analysis of FAR 52.203-13, Department of Justice guidance on corporate compliance programs and the Federal Sentencing Guidelines.
Canni and Barnett focused on best practices in ethics and compliance for government contractors, as well as provided guidance for in-house counsel on their obligations within the process. Attendees gained practical insights into the ethical obligations of in-house counsel under the ABA Model Rules, with emphasis on the following:

- Best practices for designing and implementing effective compliance frameworks
