Delores “Dee” Berman, age 85, of Chesterfield, on April 7, 2024. Berman was admitted to The Missouri Bar in 1992.

Joseph A. Bohrer, age 84, of Springfield, on June 20, 2024. Bohrer was a partner at Yates, Mauck, Bohrer, Elliff, & Fels after working at Neale, Newman, Bradshaw, Freeman and Neale. He graduated from the Washington University School of Law and was admitted to The Missouri Bar in 1964. Bohrer served in the U.S. Air Force and was an assistant staff judge advocate.

Jerry Joe Cadwell, age 88, of Oviedo, FL, on April 24, 2023. Cadwell was admitted to The Missouri Bar in 2002.

John H. Calvert, age 83, of Shawnee, KS, on Feb. 16, 2024. Calvert practiced for 32 years with Lathrop Gage L.C., focusing on constitutional law, corporate finance, and business litigation. He later co-founded and was managing director of Intelligent Design Network. He graduated from the University of Missouri School of Law and was admitted to The Missouri Bar in 1968. Calvert served in the U.S. Army.

Pete Carter, age 72, of Columbia, on Sept. 16, 2023. Carter opened a private practice in Salem and was a contract lawyer for the Missouri State Public Defender System and Legal Aid in Rolla. He later worked as an assistant public defender before retiring in 2017. He graduated from the University of Missouri School of Law and was admitted to The Missouri Bar in 1983.

Hon. William H. Crandall Jr., age 84, of Innsbrook, on June 30, 2024. Crandall served as an appellate judge for the Missouri Court of Appeals-Eastern District, circuit judge for the 21st Judicial Circuit, and magistrate judge for the St. Louis County Magistrate Court’s Eighth District. He graduated from the Washington University School of Law and was admitted to The Missouri Bar in 1963. Crandall served in the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy.

William Patrick Cronan II, age 77, of Boonville, on July 24, 2024. Cronan was a lawyer at Cronan and Robinson after working as a prosecuting attorney for Howard County. He graduated from the University of Missouri School of Law and was admitted to The Missouri Bar in 1974. Cronan served in the U.S. Army.

Dennis Clark Donnelly, age 82, of St. Louis, on May 26, 2024. Donnelly was an assistant U.S. attorney and partner at Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner. He graduated from the Saint Louis University School of Law and was admitted to The Missouri Bar in 1966.

D. Keith Henson, age 67, of St. Louis, on June 18, 2024. A graduate of the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law, Henson was a principal at Paule, Camazine & Blumenthal, P.C. for nearly 30 years, concentrating on municipal law and insurance defense. Henson was admitted to The Missouri Bar in 1984.

Norman R. Jones, age 90, of Houston, TX, on June 4, 2015. Jones was admitted to The Missouri Bar in 1950.

Hon. David Paul Kimminau, age 73, of Lee’s Summit, on July 11, 2024. Before serving as a family court commissioner in the 16th Judicial Circuit, Kimminau was partner at Phillips, McElligott, Ewan & Hall. He graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law and was admitted to The Missouri Bar in 1985.

Ray E. Klinginsmith, age 86, of Kirksville, on Jan. 17, 2024. Klinginsmith practiced law in Macon and later became general counsel and dean of administration at Northeast Missouri State University. He graduated from the University of Missouri School of Law and was admitted to The Missouri Bar in 1965.

Gerard A. Nieters, age 63, of O’Fallon, on May 30, 2024. After being admitted to The Missouri Bar in 1987, Nieters was a lawyer at Federer & Federer, P.C. and Missouri Right to Life.

Michael Daniel O’Keefe, age 86, of St. Louis, on July 31, 2024. O’Keefe was a partner/senior counsel at Thompson Coburn for nearly 50 years. A graduate of the Saint Louis University School of Law, he was an adjunct professor at the university, lecturing on admiralty law and serving as a trial advocacy professor and coach for more than 20 years. He was admitted to The Missouri Bar in 1961.

Bernard A. Ruthmeyer Jr., age 86, of Chesterfield, on July 8, 2024. Ruthmeyer was a partner in a private law firm that focused on small business, estate planning, and workers’ compensation. He graduated from the Saint Louis University School of Law and was admitted to The Missouri Bar in 1962. Ruthmeyer served in the U.S. Army.

James Edward Thompson Jr., age 84, of Harrisonville, on June 30, 2024. After graduating from the University of Missouri School of Law, Thompson was a lawyer at Crouch, Spanger, Douglas Law Firm for over 50 years. He was admitted to The Missouri Bar in 1964.
