MIAMI: Local first responders are prioritizing safety as parts of South Florida become crowded with partygoers on a busy weekend, especially in downtown Miami. The City of Miami Fire Rescue crews are fully prepared to provide assistance as the Ultra Music Festival takes place in Bayfront Park. With an estimated 165,000 people attending per day, all hands will be on deck, with over 100 firefighters on duty each day. The crews will be positioned throughout the festival venue, using bicycles and other vehicles to navigate through large crowds and respond to any potential emergencies. The main concerns for the crews are dehydration and people forgetting to take their medications. Firefighters will arrive at the venue two hours before the start of each day’s concerts to prepare and stay two hours after they end to ensure no one is left behind and there are no remaining emergencies.
