Manatee County – Florida Highway Patrol has announced that one person has died after an auto accident in Bradenton Saturday afternoon.

According to the report by FHP, the fatal crash began as a motorcycle driven by a 32-year-old man from Bradenton, Florida was traveling north on 1st Street (US-41) in the right lane, approaching 33rd Avenue East.

An SUV driven by a 68-year-old man from Bradenton, Florida was traveling south on 1st street in the left turn lane, approaching the intersection of 33rd Avenue East.

The SUV began to make a left turn onto 33rd Avenue East as the motorcycle began to simultaneously enter the Intersection which caused the front of the SUV to collide with the left side of the motorcycle.

The motorcycle overturned and collided with a fence. The SUV remained at final rest facing east in the intersection.

The 32-year-old man who was driving the motorcycle was pronounced deceased on-scene by Manatee County EMS.

The Florida Highway Patrol Traffic Homicide Unit continues to investigate this fatal traffic crash.
