Why You Should Give Employees Holiday Week Off. There are some good reasons that large organizations should give their employees Christmas week off. But, sometimes lawyers don’t have that luxury. If clients need their services, they must provide them. Courts don’t shut down for the week; although, it is true that many lawyers and courts don’t do full schedules. Human problems needing legal intervention don’t stop for the holidays. I get that. But, to the extent I am able, I stop work Christmas week, and the week after, to enjoy some holiday time and take stock. If there ever were a year to do that, it is this one.
