North Carolina Re-Elects Josh Stein as State Attorney General By Clay Friedman, Natalie O. Ludaway, Michael Yaghi, Joselle Albracht & Suzanne Trivette on November 18, 2020 Democrat Josh Stein won re-election as attorney general of North Carolina. According to the Associated Press, Stein finished with 2,713,407 votes. Republican challenger Jim O’Neill had 2,699,781 votes.
