It seems like we hear about a data breach every single day. One of the latest data breach notices involves some top domain registrars. Domain name registrars, NetworkSolutions.com, Register.com and Web.com are asking you to change your password as a result of a data breach. It appears that Web.com is the only one to actually post a notice of the security incident. However, when I logged in to my Network Solutions account, I was immediately prompted to change my password. Web.com owns Register.com and NetworkSolutions.com so it makes sense that passwords may have been compromised across all three domain registrars. Whether you get a notice or not, login and change your password now.
