New Android Auto update expands messaging and media features. When I wanted to make my 23 year old car into a modern driving machine, I installed a new sound system, complete with subwoofer. But, my primary goal was to allow me to run Android Auto, and not to have to look at a small phone screen while navigating. Imagine my surprise when I discovered that Android Auto allowed hands free music and messaging and phone calls, removing the temptation to pick up the phone while driving. Now, I have a time machine that is voice controlled. Hey Google, play some real music from the Sixties.
