Sunshine data submitted; 45-day review-and-dispute period begins April 6

By Jeff Layne (US), Selina Coleman (US) & Benjamin Koplin (US) on April 2, 2015

Physicians and teaching hospitals can begin reviewing the Sunshine Act data attributed to them by applicable manufacturers on Monday, April 6.

The 2014 data – the first full year of reported data –  was due on March 31.  Physicians and teaching hospitals can register in both the CMS Enterprise Portal and the Open Payments system to review the data.  According to CMS, physicians and teaching hospitals can still initiate disputes after the 45-day review period, but no resolutions will be displayed until the next reporting cycle.

Please contact our Sunshine Act team if you have any questions about the 2014 dispute process or would like support in reviewing and benchmarking based on the 2013 published data.
