On August 4, Armando Granillo, a former sales associate for Fannie Mae, was sentenced in the Central District of California to 15 months’ imprisonment for taking kickbacks from a real estate broker who sold properties on behalf of the mortgage agency.  Granillo had been found guilty of three counts of honest services fraud following a two-day trial in March.  United States v.
