On Wednesday, November 20, 2013, the Washington, DC Office’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee hosted its Second Annual Dinner & Diversity event for diverse attorneys and professionals at the Jefferson Hotel in Washington, DC.
This year, more than 40 diverse attorneys and professionals from DLA Piper, Discovery Communications, Altria Group, Broadsoft, TV One, Verizon Communications, SunTrust, the DC Bar, and other companies enjoyed a relaxed evening of laughter, conversation, and fine dining.
This event was created to provide an opportunity for diverse lawyers to come together, get to know each other better, support networking opportunities, and strive to make a real impact on the legal and business community through collaborative efforts in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. This dinner is one of many events that supports DLA Piper’s firm-wide diversity and inclusion initiatives, and a highlight of the Washington, DC Office’s calendar of events each year. This year again proved to be a successful event!
