Coaching Contracts and the Federal Incentive Compensation Ban

By Jackson Lewis P.C. on May 23, 2012

Check out our article on renegotiating coaching contracts published by Win AD.  Win AD provides practical, realistic, and useful advice and data on collegiate sports.  It has a nice section on “10 Tips” to consider when renewing contracts this year.  It also discusses the often overlooked problem of dual job duties with assistant coaches and athletic staff—particularly when it involves admissions.  These issues are especially pertinent now that the U.S. Department of Education has banned incentive compensation for athletic personnel with only limited exceptions.  The link to the article is below.  You can also find it by going to Win AD’s website at http://winthropintelligence.com.
