Atlantic Provinces Trial Lawyers Association Programs

By Stark & Stark on December 6, 2006

This past week I had the pleasure of traveling to Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada to attend two educational programs sponsored by the Atlantic Provinces Trial Lawyers Association. On Thursday, I spoke on the topic of “Mining for Gold: Discovery of Defendant’s Experts”. The presentation discussed numerous techniques to obtain information about defendant’s expert witnesses as well as to discover materials to use in cross-examining these expert witnesses.

On Friday and Saturday, I had the honor of co-chairing APTLA’s brain injury litigation seminar with George McAllister, an attorney from New Brunswick, Canada. Besides co-chairing this wonderful program, I also spoke on the topics of Debunking the Ten Myths of Traumatic Brain Injury (a similar lecture can be found on this blog) as well as speaking on the topic of “Cross-Examination of Defendant’s Experts.” Also speaking on the program were a number of outstanding experts from both the United States and Canada.

I would like to thank our hosts for their gracious and warm reception especially APTLA’s Executive Director, Libby Kinghorne.
